What Else Is On My Mindgrapes #13
This morning, I head to Puerto Rico with Missio Alliance for the “Why Stay” Retreat at Kineo Center. I’ll be leading a group of pastors through two sessions on DISRUPTION. Immediately after that — in fact, I’ll sadly meed to leave early — to head to HARBOR at Pepperdine University where I’ll teach from my soon-to-be-released book, Speaking By the Numbers: Enneagram Wisdom for Teachers, Pastors, and Communicators.
I world DEEPLY APPRECIATE it if you pre-order your copy today.
What I’m Watching
Rochelle and I are making our way back through New Girl on Netflix. I loved this show the first time, and am enjoying it even more now.
The initial reviews of Moon Knight, were not encouraging, but a few episodes in and I’m enjoying it. Perhaps it’s my complete ignorance of the story arch that makes it attractive.
What I’m Reading
Just finished Doris Kearnes Goodwin’s, Lyndon Johnson and the American Dream. A fan of Goodwin, I didn’t know terribly much about Johnson. This bring my presidential biographies total to 22.
After taking several years to read only women and minorities, I’m back reading Jonathan Franzen’s Crossroads. A few pages in and I know it to be classic Franzen.
And, as always, I reading several book on the Enneagram.
ESSENTIAL READING
Jonathan Haidt on Why the Past 10 Years of American Life Have Been Uniquely Stupid.
