At my church, Ecclesia Houston, we’ve been in a teaching series forming a Theology of the Body. When I tell people that, they are two reflexive reactions. The first is that when people hear “theology of the body,” they translate my words into a “theology of sex.” And second, those who keep up with such things think I referring to John Paul II’s Theology of the Body.
In reality, those reactions are both right and wrong. We have talked about sex and I’ve read treatments and pieces of JPII, but we are looking for a more robust view of the body.
