Several posts ago, I wrote about having more books than can handle. One reason for this is that it increases your odds of finding books you will enjoy. And I want to talk about this.
Some folks believe that we read to retain information. There is certainly a kind of reading which requires that. It’s the kind of reading we did win school. The kind of reading we would be testing on. But - for most of us - school is over (praise God), and maintaining a school book approach to reading is a major cause of why we don’t read more. This is especially true when we think about reading fiction.
