The Enneagram is wisdom, and I mean that in the widest, most beautiful sense. Wisdom functions differently than laws or commandments or rules. Wisdom offers general guidelines concerning the way life usually happens. Wisdom is hard-won, time-tested, and broadly true, but not always. To be a communicator who deploys Enneagram wisdom means knowing and appreciating how other people function; it's the ability to see yourself and the people around you without judgment, and it's the care to love them well. Wisdom also means trusting that the world didn't start yesterday and that previous generations have a great deal to teach us. Simply because something is older than you or ancient does not make it invalid. In fact, the antiquity of the Enneagram may give it more power.
