Shared Stories Create Healing

This past Mother’s Day, my wife, Rochelle Palmer, delivered the message at Ecclesia Houston’s downtown campus. In it she told the tender story of out journey with infertility as it was shared with her lifelong friend, Rebecca.

There is a reason we share stories like this in our community and we — in the face of lots of criticism outside our community — center storytelling as our homiletical center.

Since Sunday, Rochelle and I both have heard from numerous couples who share aspects our story, many who are twenty years younger and in the middle of the ups and downs of hope and disappointment in trying to expand their families. Because most of you don’t subscribe the Ecclesia podcast, here is her message.
