“Technology doesn’t just do things for us. It does things to us, changing not just what we do but who we are,” — MIT Professor, Sherry Turkle.
There are a few things I’ve learned, just out-of-the-box, that I’ve come to quickly appreciate about not being on social media.
The first is that I really don’t know what’s going on in the world. And I’m okay with that. I get the local news. In fact, the local news is the only news I check in the morning -- on TV, not on my phone. I know the weather and traffic and the events most impacting my city and my church members who live in this city.
